Description
The Moorish Literature Pamphlet is a collection of proclamations, laws, convention minutes, newspaper articles, and essays written during the time period that our founder and prophet, Noble Drew Ali, was living and leading the Moorish Science Temple of America.
The 3rd Edition expands the coverage to records and letters which were also written after the Prophets death, during the tenor of Supreme Grand Sheik E. Mealy El. We have also arranged the content in chronological order so that the table of contents works as a timeline.
The Moorish Guide Newspaper was/is the national newspaper of the Moorish Science Temple of America. It was published monthly with articles sent in from the various officials located around the country (there were 15-19 temples at our peak of operations). Prophet Noble Drew Ali was the publisher, and oversaw the issuance of the paper. So it gives us a useful measuring stick to chart our course, and align it with the intentions of our founder.
The Moorish Literature is a critical compilation of archival documentation which illuminate the roots and culture of our organization. It provides context for how the Prophet ran this organization, and the original principles that it is dedicated to.
It can (and should) be used as a tool to measure the progress of our organization, as well as to interpret the original doctrine and laws handed down by Prophet Noble Drew Ali. Every member should have a copy. Use it to gain keen insight into the pure teachings, and hold our leadership accountable!
