The Moorish Science Temple of America (MSTA) is a religious society organized for the purpose of preserving and transmitting the Moorish nationality of its members, along with the divine creed of Islam.
According to all true and divine records of the human race there is no negro, black, or colored race attached to the human family. What your ancient forefathers were, you are today without doubt or contradiction; and there is no one who is able to change man from the descendant nature of his forefathers; unless his power extends beyond the great universal Creator Allah Himself…

Therefore, Act 6. of the MSTA Divine Constitution & Bylaws mandates that all members must proclaim their nationality. Membership eligibility is exclusively reserved to descendants of the ancient Moabites (the Moorish) who were given permission from the Pharaohs of Egypt to settle and inhabit North—West Africa. They were the founders and are the true possessors of the present Moroccan Empire. Membership is also extended to their Canaanite, Hittite, and Amorite brethren who sojourned from the land of Canaan to Northeast and Southwest Africa, seeking new homes.

Their dominion and inhabitation extended from Northeast and Southwest Africa, across great Atlantis, even unto the present North, South, and Central America, and also Mexico and the Atlantis Islands; before the earthquake which caused the great Atlantic Ocean.

Our records preserve the history and migrations of these Afro-Asiatic people. Their descendants include the Afro-Asiatic people known today as: the Moorish Americans and Mexicans in North America, Brazilians, Argentines and Chileans in South America; Columbians, Nicaraguans, and the natives of San Salvador in Central America, the Caribbean’s, etc. All of these are Moslems.

    Membership Orientation Process:

The Member Orientation Modules are seven (7) fundamental lessons that represent the foundational teachings all members must possess and embody. As a nation of people, we must establish a “oneness of mind”. These teachings, which were compiled as a consensus amongst the Grand Body and Supreme Grand Council, and represent the foundation towards that goal.

Members of any national group must embody certain understandings to be recognized as citizens of that particular government. Here within our ethno-religious society we have put together seven different topics that will solidify an understanding of these free national standards for all Moorish American Moslems to adhere to.

    1. Start Member Orientation – You will be provided with access to the orientation modules. You will take the 7 modules at your own pace, but it is highly recommended you finish 1 module per week for 7 consecutive weeks. This is to ensure you complete the orientation process and become a registered member promptly. Be diligent and take good notes.
    2. At the completion of each module, you will take the test for that module (online).
    3. After completing module testing, you will be required to signup for a DemoDay session. DemoDay’s will be regularly scheduled for the last week of each month. There you will be able to demonstrate your level of understanding of the orientation material to MSTA Officials. You will also be able to ask the officials questions about the material and make suggestions for improvement.
    4. At the successful conclusion of DemoDay, you will be asked to e-register as a member of the Moorish Science Temple of America, and you will be assigned to a local temple.
    5. After e-registration, you may begin attending regular meetings/services of your local temple.
    6. You will receive the Certificate of Registration within 30 days of fully and correctly completing your e-registration form (onliine).
    7. Monthly Dues ($10), Per-capita taxes ($5), Emergency Funds ($19), and Uplifting Funds (*as much as you are able). Your monthly assessments total to $408/year (excl. Uplifting Funds). This, if not paid does not entitle you to the protection provided for you, and especially so if you are in working condition. If you refuse to carry out the duty assigned you, how can you expect money and help when you are sick? Think this over Moors.
      1. NOTE: If you are working, then your dues, taxes and assessments must be paid monthly. If you are not working, then no dues must be paid. If you have money in the bank, you must subscribe “as much as you are able” to uplifting funds (see Act 4 of Additional Laws).
    8. After receiving a Certificate of Registration, please begin paying your Monthly Assessments directly to your assigned temples’ payment portal (click here).

Let us remember, we are here to uplift fallen humanity by assisting our Holy and Illustrious Prophet in his Great Missionary Work. We are to address the moral, social, spiritual, intellectual, and economic plight of our people. We have initiated the process within this membership and orientation manual and it’s imperative that we strive to fulfill our Prophet’s work. Not only is it for our own salvation but it must be carried out for our posterity, nation, and all of humanity.
